Wanda Faye Thompson Varnado

October 22, 1946 – September 25, 2025

Wanda Faye Thompson Varnado, age 78, a resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away in Bogalusa, LA on Thursday, September 25, 2025. She was a member of Monroe Street Baptist Church.  She was a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughter, Colby Varnado (John) Albasini of Carriere, MS; son, Charles Earl "Chad" (Kelley) Varnado, Jr. of Metairie, LA; grandchildren, Sophia Elizabeth Albasini, John Joseph "Joey" Albasini, Jr., Conner Edward Varnado and Carson Edison Varnado. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Earl Varnado, Sr.; Her parents Eddie A. & Hazel Mulford Thompson; her sister Judy Thompson (Wallace) Quinn.

A Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Chad Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.

A Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 9:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.
