Vivian Marie Barlow Ready, 90, resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away on June 15, 2024, at Pontchartrain Health Care Centre, in Mandeville, LA.  She was born on May 23, 1934, in Bogalusa, LA to Lucious and Myrtle Carter Barlow.  Vivian graduated High School and later got her license to sell real estate where together she and her late husband, Billy Ready, Sr. owned and operated Ready Realty for many years.  She was a long-time member of Highland Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by family and those in the community.

She is survived by her sons Billy (Larke) Ready, Jr. of Purvis, MS, Bobby Ready of Port Vincent, LA, Brad (Marnie) Ready of Poplarville, MS; nine grandchildren Chris (Brittney) Bond, Amanda (Brantley) Oursler, Mallory (Brandon) Anderson, Clayton (Cleo) Ready, Whitney (Joshua) Marchan, Robert (Adriana) Ready, Hannah (Tyler) Durbin, Presley Ready, and Ty Ready; as well as ten great-grandchildren.

Vivian is preceded in death by her husband Billy Ready, Sr.; sisters Joy Varnado, Betty Wheat, Bobbie Lee Barlow; her brother Kenneth Barlow; a daughter-in-law Lollie Ready; and her parents Lucious and Myrtle Barlow.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home, at 11:00 am in the chapel.  Visitation will start that morning at 9:30 am.  Rev. Jeff Howard and Billy Ready will officiate the service and interment will follow at the Garden of Peace Cemetery in Ponemah Cemetery. Acting as Pallbearers: Robert Ready, Ty Ready, Christopher Bond, Roy Scroggs, Troy Tervalon, and George Seal.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Highland Baptist Church.
