Viola Doris Alsobrooks McClane a resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the age of 91.  Doris was a member of Memorial Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, sang in the choir, and also helped in the kitchen.

Doris is survived by her grandchildren, Chantelle Thomas, Dena Thomas Talley, Tara Thomas, Shayne Thomas, and Mikelle Nobles; great grandsons, Tristian Torres and Jamie "Lil' Man" Peters; and also, her cousin, Willie Mae Sumrall.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, William Alsobrooks and Viola Delaughter Alsobrooks; her children, Donald Wayne Knight, Lavida Diane Williams Nobles, and Viola Joan Vince; and one great grandson, Bobby "Chance" Thomas.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Dennis Allen officiating the service.  Interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery.

Doris' family would like to thank her caregivers at St. Tammany Parish Hospice for their great care of her.  Also, a very special thank you to her special loyal friend, Cheri Amacker for all her love and support.
