Tushanna Anne Temples

August 10, 1970 - October 6, 2026

Tushanna Anne Temples a cherished daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 6, 2026. She was born on August 10, 1970, in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Martha Wheat and Douglas “Buddy” Temples.

Tushanna was a beacon of strength and humor, a woman whose vibrant spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. She spent many dedicated years working at the Rayburn Correctional Center, where she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues as a Sergeant. Her commitment to her role was surpassed only by her family and her zest for life.

Her greatest joy came from the time spent with her beloved children and grandchildren. Tushanna was a woman of unique character; she was wild, crazy, and fiercely protective of those she loved. Her love for fishing, hunting, and the beach was only matched by her ability to talk on the phone for hours, sharing laughter and stories that will be remembered years to come.

She is survived by her mother, Martha Wheat Cooper; her children, Allison “Allie” Terrell and Nathan Jarrell, Kayla Morris, and Billy Morris and her treasured grandchildren, Kinley and Beau Jarrell, Levi and Lily Morris.

Tushanna was preceded in death by her father, Douglas “Buddy” Temples, her aunt and uncle, Beckie and Preacher Crain, Diane Temples; her grandparents, Shirley Bailey, and Hubert and Marcelle Temples.

In accordance with her family’s wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor her life.

“I love you mama, you were so loved and will deeply be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to call you Mom, daughter, grandmother, family, or friend. You leave behind your laughter, your endless stories, your stubbornness, strength, and countless memories that we will carry for the rest of our lives. I’ll carry you with me the rest of mine. Until I see you again Mama
