Tina Major passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at her home in Gulfport MS at the age of 61.

Tina is survived by her son Jason "Jay" Major; grandchildren Mason, Ella, and Audrey; father Otis "Sonny" Bennett, and brother Troy Bennett. Tina was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Bennett.

Tina was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was born in Bogalusa, LA and lived there for most of her life before moving to Gulfport, MS in her later years to be closer to the beach. Tina exemplified that big things do indeed come in small packages, with her larger-than-life personality and resilient attitude in the face of adversity standing tall above her 5'1" frame. Tina was the life of the party who was always quick to offer a smile or laugh, and her fun-loving nature will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Poole- Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA beginning at 12:00 P.M. on October 30, 2021, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 P.M., and interment to follow at Pounds Cemetery.
