Tim Talley, 67, passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sunday, February 27, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Gloria Talley. Tim is survived by his children, Karen Talley Miller (Steven), and Tommy Talley (Leighanna); ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; brother, David Talley; sister, Kathy Rath (Larry); and many nieces and nephews. Tim graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1972 and then attended LSU. He enrolled in the Louisiana National Guard in 1973 completing basic training at Fort Polk. Tim joined the active US Army where he completed Medic Training at Fort Sam Houston in 1975 where he became a Hawk Fire Control Crew Member. He completed two tours of duty in Korea. Upon returning stateside, he continued his military service in the United States Army Reserve as a Flight Medic. Tim fulfilled his lifelong passion for nursing, graduating as a Registered Nurse from Our Lady of the Lake School of Nursing. His nursing service included Trauma Unit and Surgical ICU at Our Lady of the Lake and Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas, returning to his first home Our Lady of the Lake Heart and Vascular Care Unit from 2015 to 2019. Many thanks to Tim's beloved Our Lady of the Lake Hospital staff who showed him enormous amounts of love as a staff member as well as providing excellent care to him as a patient. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 15160 S Harrells Ferry Rd., Baton Rouge, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Ponemah Cemetery, 1136 Louisiana Ave., Bogalusa, Louisiana.
