Stanley Wheat, born in Poplarville, MS and a longtime resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away Monday afternoon, March 22, 2021 at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, LA, at the age of 69. He was an avid fisherman, a die hard Oklahoma Sooners fan, and he was great with customizing and painting fishing lures.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Catherine "Cathy" Wheat of Bogalusa, LA; his daughter - Meagan "Puds" (James) Turner of Bush, LA; his son, Joshua (Brittany) Wheat of Huntsville, AL; his father, Cecil Wheat of the Buck Branch Community, MS; grand-dog, Lola Wheat of Bogalusa, LA; his Brother, Ronnie (Carol) Wheat of Brandon, MS. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Alma Rice Wheat.

Graveside  Services will be on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Kennedy Cemetery in the Buck Branch Community, MS with Rev. Clay Norwood officiating.
