Sharon Kay Ecroyd, born October 1, 1959, passed away on March 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of those who knew and cherished her.
Sharon was a woman with a true servant's heart who touched countless lives through her kindness, faith, and dedication to others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Alvaretta Leatherwood; her grandparents, Benjamin and Vanda Moore Spencer; and her special brother-in-law, David W. Pittman.
Sharon leaves behind many who will continue to cherish her memory, including her beloved daughter, Brittany Ecroyd; a special young lady, Bailey Brown, who held a special place in her heart; her sisters, Patti (John) Cristello and Glenda Pittman; along with many beloved nieces and nephews: Jennifer Trepagnier, Michael Sean (April) Trepagnier, Barry (Kristie) Pittman, Shadd (Whitney) Pittman, and Matt (Courtney) Pittman; and a host of dear friends whom she considered family.
A proud graduate of Bogalusa High School, Class of 1978, Sharon lived her life guided by her strong faith. She was a devoted member of Ben's Ford Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for many years. Her dedication to her church family was evident in the many roles she held while working at Ben's Ford Baptist Church and most recently at Ben's Ford Christian School. Through her work and ministry, Sharon impacted the lives of countless students, families, and church members.
Known for her warm spirit, generous heart, and willingness to help anyone in need, Sharon truly embodied what it meant to live a life of service. She was deeply loved by many, and her legacy of compassion, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She will be greatly missed but forever remembered.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Ben's Ford Baptist Church.
Visitation for family will begin at 11:00 a.m., with public visitation following at 11:30 a.m. The funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at Ben's Ford Cemetery.
