Roxanne Bernadette Fortenberry, 35, of Bogalusa, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at her residence.

Roxanne was born Sunday, April 30, 1989 in Bogalusa. She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church. Roxanne graduated from Pope John Paul II High School in Slidell, Louisiana and completed her studies at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She was a former employee of Citizens Savings Bank.

She is preceded in death by her father, D. Bernard Fortenberry; her paternal grandparents, Herman and Ollie Mae Rhodus Fortenberry; maternal grandparents, Waldon and Etta Bennett Thigpen; and one aunt, Bernice Fortenberry.

Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Etta Thigpen Fortenberry; two aunts, Matilda Faye Fortenberry Crain, Brenda Thigpen Burge; and one cousin, Becky Lynn Crain.

Funeral services will be held at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home (216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, LA, 70427) on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Rev. Scott Breland will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Wallace Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until services, Monday at the funeral home.
