Rosemary Johnson Knight passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the age of 90.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Memaw), and friend.  She was raised in Angie, LA and was a resident of Bogalusa, LA since she married in 1951. She enjoyed sports and played a little basketball and tennis in her younger days.  However, her favorite pastime was playing the piano.  She was a gifted musician and shared this with Bogalusa First Baptist Church as the church organist and accompanist for over 56 years.

She is survived by four children, Darrell Knight (Jennifer) of Merritt Island, FL; Wayne Knight (Dawn) of Baton Rouge, LA; Sandy Morgan (Jim) of Franklinton, LA; and David Knight of Ocean Springs, MS; two sisters-in-law, Marie King of Bogalusa, LA and Trudy Price (Nelson) of Kennesaw, GA.  She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, Ariana Knight, Myles Knight, Stephen Knight, Emily Hammatt (Scott), Natalie McMullen (Hunter), Jonathan Morgan, Justin Morgan (Cacy), James Morgan (Lauren), Gabe Knight, and Aden Knight, as well as 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband Esco Knight, Jr, her parents Paris "Pete" and Agnes Johnson, her brothers and sisters-in-law, William "Billy" Johnson (Faye), Nelson Johnson (Bobbie), Sid Johnson (Jo), and a grandson, Evan McKenzie Knight.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until time for the funeral at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. Mike Haley officiating. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens on Spring Valley Road in Bogalusa.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Knight, Myles Knight, Jonathan Morgan, Justin Morgan, James Morgan, Gabe Knight, and Aden Knight.
