Rodney Ellis Carrier passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at the home of his daughter, Melissa Hines in Bogalusa, LA at the age of 81.  He was a native of Bogalusa and was born on January 8, 1940.

Rodney leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters Selena Carrier Guzman of Bogalusa, LA; Melissa (Aaron) Hines of Bogalusa, LA; and Tisha (Scott) Thomassen of Franklinton, LA; one sister, Shirley Carrier Pittman of Bogalusa, LA; his grandchildren Toby Mizell of Bogalusa, LA; Matthew (Beth)Mizell of Bogalusa, LA; Ryan (Lauren) Stumpf of Bogalusa, LA; Kaley Kyle of Franklinton, LA; Breanna Sison of Summerville, SC; Austin Thomassen of Franklinton, LA; Lainey Thomassen of Franklinton, LA; and also his 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Rodney was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years Darlene Davis Carrier; his parents Gilbert S. and Myrtis Kuhn Carrier; sisters Velma Graham, Doris Naretto, Ollie Smith, and Joann Mitchell; brothers Elbert "Blinker" Carrier, Louis "Chubby" Carrier, Sidney Carrier, Olin "Rozo" Carrier, and Gary Carrier; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His daughters will receive family and friends for a Celebration of His Life on January 15, 2022, at "The Place" located at 426 Georgia Avenue Bogalusa, LA 70427, from 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.  followed by a committal service at Pounds-Pool Cemetery in Bogalusa, LA.
