Ricky James Smith, age 58, came into this world on January 7, 1967 and went Home to Jesus on March 25, 2025.

Ricky was a Godly man, a husband, a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. He was a member of Crossroads United Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Smith; one daughter Madison Smith (Devin) Goings, his mother, Wilda Rester; one sister Darlene Williams; three brothers, David Smith, Edward (Sherry) Smith, and Randy (Crystal) Smith; his best friend Frederick "Tommy" (Lila) Seal; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, James Smith and stepmother, Rose Smith.

He leaves a hole deep in the hearts of all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home (216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, Louisiana, 70427) on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 4:00 pm. Burial will be private. Visitation will from 2:00 pm until services, Friday at the funeral home.
