On Monday, December 14th, 2020, Richard Wayne Pierce, loving son and brother, passed away at the age of 45. He died peacefully at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, La. Ricky, as he was called by friends and family, was born on November 27th, 1975 to James Wayne Pierce and Barbara Gayle Cantrell, in Bogalusa, La.

Ricky was a kind and gentle person. He valued his family, was a loyal brother, and loving son. He was an ace at pool and loved to bring a smile to your face with a funny joke. Ricky shared a love of western movies and football with his grandfather, was a raving fan of his grandmother's cooking, and loved spending time with his many cousins, aunts and uncles. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, James W. Pierce, his mother, Barbara Gayle Cantrell, and grandmother, Barbara Boyd Cantrell. He is survived by his grandfather, Marvin O. Cantrell, brother James Pierce, and wife Melissa, two nieces, Ariel and Gracelyn Pierce, one nephew, Paul Pierce, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 20th, 2020 in Ponemah Cemetery at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Greg Whaley of First Baptist Church of Bogalusa officiating.
