Paul Mitchell Boone passed away at his residence in Bogalusa, La on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the age of 84. He was born in Sandy Hook, MS on July 10, 1936.

He retired from GM&O Railroad after 30 years and Rayburn Correctional Institute after 20 years.

He is survived by his daughters, Sharon "Shey" Boone of Bogalusa, LA, Paula Gaye (Mike) Boone of Bogalusa, LA, and Deona Boone Pittman of Bogalusa, LA; his grandchildren, Krystal Boone Oalmann, Jonathan Pittman, Jessica Pittman; and his great granddaughter, Sheylah Oalmann.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Duncan Boone; parents, Homer & Ollie Boone, his son, Frederick Lee Boone, and Son-in-law, Albert Boone, Jr.

Services celebrating his life will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, November 22, 2020. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Larry Lassley will officiate. Interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery.

Military honors will be presented by Magic City American Legion Post #24.
