Patsy Ruth Foster Fornea, age 86, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023.  Patsy was born in Bogalusa, LA on May 19, 1936. She was an employee of the Charity Hospital for several years. Patsy was a member of Highland Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.  She enjoyed singing in the choir and was active in all church activities.

Patsy is survived by her daughter, Monica (Irvin) Boudreaux and her son, Stan (Belinda) Fornea; her 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Boudreaux, Sara Boudreaux, Benjamin Fornea and Brooke Fornea; and 5 great grandchildren, Alex and Jacob Boudreaux, Emma Boudreaux, Hannah Modica, and Takoda Fornea.  She is also survived by 2 brothers, Gary and Steve Foster.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Iddo Fornea; her mother, Vivian Foster; her father, Tommy Foster; and also, her 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Highland Baptist Church from 1:30 P.M. until time for the services at 2:30 P.M.  Rev. Dennis Allen will officiate the service.  Interment to follow at Old Fornea Cemetery in Varnado, LA.
