Mildred Ann Bessonette, of Bogalusa, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the age of 85.  She had an endless historical knowledge who had no filter.  Her unlimited quick whit will be missed. Mildred was an overall pleasant person to be around and she will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J Bessonette and her parents, Agatha and Marcus Pounds.

Mildred is survived by her one son, Bernie Bessonette; two brothers, Robert Pounds, of Bogalusa, LA and Michael Pounds of Bush, LA; two sisters, Sharon Crosby of Bogalusa, LA and Marjon Breland Pierce of Mobile, AL; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mildred's Funeral Services on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 for 11:00 am at Palestine Baptist Church, 59369 Palestine Church Road, Bogalusa, LA.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Hillview Memorial Gardens.
