Mr. Michael Lee Burnside a resident of Franklinton, LA passed away June 25, 2021 in New Orleans, LA.  Mr. Burnside was born June 17, 1962 in Bogalusa, LA to the late James Lamar Burnside Sr. and Joyce McCain.

Mr. Burnside is survived by his mother Joyce M. Burnside of Brandon, MS, a daughter Michelle Schmidt of Texarkana, TX, three sons Wesley Schmidt of Brandon, MS, Kerry Schmidt of Brandon, MS, and Jason Schmidt of Florence, MS.  He is also survived by his siblings James (Michelle) Burnside, Jr. of Franklinton, LA, Mark Burnside of Brandon, MS, Dennis (Katina) Burnside of Brandon, MS and also his Fiancé Elizabeth Joyce Burnside of Franklinton, LA and numerous grand children, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mr. Burnside was preceded in death by his father James Lamar Burnside Sr., a son Jeremy Schmidt, and a grandson Christopher Casaus.

Visitation will be held 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. with Services beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Branch officiating.  Interment to follow at Bonnie Cemetery in Angie, LA.
