Marie Margiotta Mizell was born May 9, 1930, in Bogalusa, LA and passed away on January 17, 2022, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, LA.

Marie was a vibrant, caring and strong-willed woman, a true matriarch of her family in every sense of the word.  An outstanding cook, she enjoyed cooking and caring for her family the most.  She was also very fond of playing cards with her lady friends.  Marie found joy in the simplest pleasures of life.  She was a devout member of Annunciation Catholic Church, the Kaycettes and the Italian American club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Wayne Mizell, her parents Thomas and Annie Margiotta, her son Kevin Paul Mizell and twelve siblings.

Marie is survived by her sons Brian (Linda) Mizell and Wade (Amy) Mizell, five grandchildren Kyle Mizell, Amanda (Justin) Yates, Cory Mizell, Ethan (Sydney) Mizell and Mia Mizell, two great grandchildren Brody and Joey Yates.

Visitation will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church Friday, January 21, 2022, 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M.  A Catholic Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Entombment at Ponemah Cemetery following the service.
