Mary Alice McCain, age 83, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away on June 16, 2024. She was born on May 28, 1941, in Angie, Louisiana.

Mary was a retired telephone operator who dedicated her career to helping others connect with their loved ones.

She is survived by her sisters, Joyce Burnside of Brandon, MS, and Betsy McCain of Metairie, LA; nieces, Charlie Cedotal, Lisa Meeks and Layla Hatfield, all of Metairie, LA; nephews, David Cedotal, Gavin Hatfield, and Evan Hatfield, all of Metairie, LA. A host of extended family and friends also survive.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Allie McCain, and eight siblings.

Funeral services will be held at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home (216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, Louisiana, 70427) on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Bonnie Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 10:00 am until services on Saturday at the funeral home.
