Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Knight Ewell a resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the age of 86.  Mrs. Mary was retired from Resthaven after 35 years as well as a private sitter for over 20 years.

Mrs. Mary is survived by her brother Teaman "Toby" (Brenda)Knight; grandchildren Otis (Christy) Ewell Jr., Nikki Bonura, Jeffery (Erica) Ewell, Thad "Bubba" Haik, Melissa Haik, Megan (Jason) Johnson, Macey (Man) Fornea and Phyllis Ewell; great grandchildren Zachary (Kelsey) Ewell, Gracie (Joseph) Palmer, Victoria (Jacob) Bonura, Russell Bonura, Natalie Bonura, Chyenne Bonura, Madison Busby, Chloe Busby, Carson and Hudson Ewell, Hayden and Grayson Johnson, Oliver and Roman Haik, and C.J. Fornea.

Mrs. Mary was proceeded in death by her husband Leo Ewell; her children Otis Ewell Sr., Roy Ewell, Evelyn Ewell, and Sharon Walton; her sisters Mildred Jenkins, Joyce Spillman, and Sara Hunt; and also, her parents Yvonne Pounds and Teaman Knight.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 10:00 am until time of services at 2:00 pm at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Rev. Stanley Talley will be officiating the services.
