Marie Pauline Sheridan Goings, 77, passed away on March 28, 2022, at Resthaven Living Center, where she had been a resident since 2016.  Affectionally called Polly by family and friends, she was born along with her twin sister, Elaine, on November 21, 1944, to Howard C.  Sr. and Minnie Mae McNeese Sheridan.

She is survived by two sons, Wilton Howard "Tinker" Goings of Baton Rouge and Jody Tyrone Goings of Bogalusa; three grandchildren, Gavin Goings, Brittany Rachel Goings, and Jacob Walker; nine great grandchildren, a sister, Dollie Hobgood; a brother, Homer Sheridan.

Ms. Goings was preceded in death by her parents, Howard C. Sr. and Minnie Mae McNeese Sheridan; her twin sister, Elaine Sheridan Hall Schilling; sisters LaVerygne Sheridan Stewart, Helen S. Sheridan, Virginia Sheridan Broussard, and a brother, Howard C. "Charles" Sheridan, Jr.

Graveside services will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 2 PM with Rev.  Marcus Rosa officiating.  Poole Ritchie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
