Mrs. Linda Thompson Slade a long-time resident of Bogalusa, LA and a resident of St. Tammany Parish for the past 15 years, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, in Covington, LA at the age of 70.  Mrs. Linda was a member of Superior Avenue Baptist Church.  She also served as Queen of MCCA XXXVI.

Mrs. Linda is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard Slade; her sons, Matthew Richard Slade of Sulphur, LA and Joshua William Slade of Covington, LA; a grandson, Jacob Matthew Slade of Dothan, AL; and one great grandchild, Ezekiel Logan Slade.  She is also survived by her sisters in law, Ann Thompson of Pine, LA, Joy Dunn of Slidell, LA, and Nancy Passman of Franklinton, LA, and her niece and nephew, Noel Thomas of Pine, LA and Trevor Thompson of Bogalusa, LA.

Mrs. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Red and Gloria Thompson and one brother, Robert Carl Thompson.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until time for the services at 2:00 P.M.  Rev. Dennis Allen will officiate the services.  Interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
