Lenita Gayle "BooBoo" Henley Reeves, was a native of Bogalusa. She passed away at her home in Plaucheville, LA on Sunday, February 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, and went to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven. She was born February 8, 1954, in Tylertown, MS. Lenita was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, a special aunt and friend who opened her home and heart to any and everyone in need of help. She loved spending time with her family, working in her flower beds, shopping for her kids and grandchildren. Her favorite shopping place was Dirt Cheap.
She is survived by her husband Darrel Reeves, a daughter, Tausha (Chris ) Mayeaux of Strawberry Plains, TN and a son Joshua( Karis) Reeves of Hessmer, LA and grandchildren Aaron Hodges and Alister Mayeaux of Baton Rouge, Christian Mayeaux and Amelya Mayeaux of Strawberry Plains, TN; sister Brenda Henley, Baton Rouge and brother John (Donna ) Henley of Picayune, Ms; two uncles Doyle Hines of Bogalusa and Bill Ingram of Folsom; brother-in-law Jeffrey Reeves of Plaucheville, LA; her special fur baby "Little Bit" and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Patty Henley; brother Lynn ( Jannette) Henley; brother Billy (Debbie ) Henley; grandparents Charles and Amelia Henley and Walter and Annie Hines; Also by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church on 135 Rio Grande Street, in Bogalusa officiated by Pastor Stephen Linck, with interment to following at Hines Cemetery in Stateline, MS. Pallbearers will be Aaron Hodges, Alister Mayeaux, Charles Henley, Chris Seal, Tommy Cockerham and Jeffrey Reeves.
A visitation will be held at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
Memorial donations can be made to Enoch Hines Cemetery at 2886 Cedarcrest Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70816 or donations to help with burial expenses would be appreciated.
