Lenette "Hermine" Foil Erwin & Eugene "Gene" Robert Erwin

The family of Lenette "Hermine" Foil Erwin (1935-2023) would like to invite family and friends to the burial service of Hermine and her husband of 47 years, Eugene "Gene" Robert Erwin (1932-2007), where they will finally rest together after being separated for 16 years. It will no doubt be an emotional day, but we would like to ask everyone to come with a smile, a story and tissues. We will celebrate and share cherished memories of their lives. In honor of Hermine, we invite all guests to wear blue or LSU purple - her favorite colors. The graveside service will take place on Saturday, May 18th, 11:00am at the Ponemah Cemetery. Condolences can be made in the form of donations to the Superior Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, 439 Superior Avenue, Bogalusa, LA 70427, OR the Bogalusa Help Center, P.O. Box 1425, Bogalusa, LA 70429. Hermine; her sister Hope; and her parents; Herman and Lee Ethel, were members of the Superior Avenue Baptist Church when she was growing up. As she said so many times in her life, "I had such a wonderful childhood growing up in Bogalusa," and as she said at the end, "I've had a wonderful life."
