Kevin Duane Pounds, 44, born on July 28, 1978, a resident of Poplarville, MS, passed away on July 1, 2023, at Tulane Medical Center.  Kevin worked offshore for several years as a safety coordinator.  He served Henleyfield Fire Department as a lieutenant and was currently employed at Alan Maddox Construction.

Kevin is the son of Cynthia (David) Thomas and the late Duane Alfred Pounds.

He is survived by the love of his life, Kimberly Brown; his children, Christopher (Victoria) Bruno, Jason (Crystal) Bruno, Destiny Pounds, Kaylee Pounds (Brandon Bullock), and Alyssa Pounds; grandchildren, Baylen, Brantley, Kaden, Savanna, Koltyn; his sister, Melissa (Gary) Thompson; brothers, David (Haleigh) Thomas and Adam (Maggie) Thomas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Duane Alfred Pounds; grandparents, Howard and Edith Parker and William H. and Dorothy Pounds.

Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse riding, being outdoors and doing rodeos.  He was a jack of all trades.

A visitation will be held at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home of Friday, July 7, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 2:00 pm, Rev. Billy Kent and Rev. Terry Bradley will officiate the service and interment will follow at Lee's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
