Kathlyn Mae Stribling, 83, of Bogalusa, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. She was born February 8, 1940, to Mary Dockens-Trosclair (later remarried to Clarence Ard) and Donell Trosclair.

Kathlyn blazed a trail for women in science and technology, running her own electronics service centers as a technician and business owner for more than 50 years. She was a lifelong learner who read math textbooks at her leisure -- though later in life, she preferred reading procedural crime dramas. She was also a dedicated poker player who shared this passion with many of her children and grandchildren.

Kathlyn is survived by her sister, Ruth O'Quin; four loving children, Patrice Philpot, Michael Sullivan, Kelly Payne, and Ruthie Stribling; seven beloved grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank Stribling; her parents; her sisters, Eleanor LeFebvre, Rita Trosclair and Irene Sarran; and her brother, Henry Trosclair.
