Johnny Marshall Pounds, 63, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away on June 1, 2024. Born on July 16, 1960, Johnny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

A sportsman at heart, Johnny enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He participated in various sports activities, including men's league softball, golf, baseball, basketball, and football. Johnny cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories with them.

In his career, Johnny dedicated himself to sales, showcasing his talent in selling everything from cars to Blue Bell ice cream. His passion and dedication left a lasting impact on those he encountered.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dorraine Pounds; his two sons, Ryan (Britni) and Cody (Holly); grandchildren, Brayden, Cameron, Annison, Quinn, Harley, and Chevy; his special Aunt, Rita Hathorne; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Pounds; mother, Myra Nell Pounds; and brothers, Randy Sandifer and Ricky Hathorne.

Funeral services will be held at the Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home (216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, LA, 70427) on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends and have visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana (985-732-4721), is assisting with the arrangements.

Johnny will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
