John Kenneth Rester (64) a resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at his home.

Kenney had a passion for life and enjoyed sharing it with those he loved. Among his many passions was visiting with friends and family, hunting and fishing, making turkey calls, and carpentry. He turned his passion for turkey calls into a small business named Kenney's Calls and sold them across the nation.

Most importantly he was a son, brother, father, and grandfather to those who he loved and who loved him. He was always ready to share advice and help where he could. He had a contagious laugh and a unique sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by all those that loved and knew him.

Kenney was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas "Doc" Rester.

Kenney leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Marcelle Rester; his sister, Linda Little; his nieces, Tammy Dunn (Brian) and Tonya Kimball (Chris); his son, Ryan Rester (Lela); two granddaughters, Grace and Evelyn; three great nieces, Kayla (Jared), Kortney (Ben), and Kristen (Chris); and two great nephews, Nathan and C.J. In addition, he leaves behind numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will have a celebration of life service at Plainview Baptist Church on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
