John Howard Johnson Jr. was born in Covington, LA on March 11, 1952, passed away on October 28, 2026, in Franklinton, LA at the age of 74.

John was preceded in death by his father John Howard Johnson; his mother and stepfather Vera Smith and Daniel Mizell; and his daughter Lesley Christine Johnson. 

John is survived by his cousins Jodi Watson, Janet Foster, Jimmy Jay Smith, and Christine Smith Mayer; and 2 grandchildren.  

John enjoyed his time at Fair City Nursing Home and the family expresses their gratitude for the wonderful care the staff provided during his time with them.  He made many friends while at Fair City that he loved, he enjoyed his nickname "John John" that his friends gave him.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 3:00p.m. at Smith Cemetery on Hwy 439.
