Jerry Dale Breland, 74, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.  He was a native of Sandy Hook, MS and a resident of Bogalusa, LA.

He retired after over 40 years of service with the Gaylord papermill.

Jerry is survived by two sons, Todd Breland (Rebekah) of Laurel, MS and Stuart Breland of Laurel, MS; his daughter, Deonna Stroud (David) of Sandy Hook, MS; six grandchildren, Maddox Breland, Morgan Breland, Reagan Breland, Isaac Stroud, Phillip Stroud and Sarah Stroud-Herring (Wayne); one great-grandchild, Hayden Stroud; and special person, Samantha (Seal) VonderBruegge (NuNu).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jabus and Genelle (Brumfield) Breland and his infant sister, Marilyn Breland.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, 216 Alabama Ave. Bogalusa, LA from 5:00-9:00pm.  Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00am with Bro. Tommy Seal and Bro. Carl Dickens officiating the service.  Interment to follow at Carson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Sandy Hook, MS.
