Jerry Neal Blackwell, a resident of Bogalusa, LA and lifelong resident of Franklinton, LA passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA at the age of 66.

Mr. Jerry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Darlene Keating Blackwell; two sons, Jerry James Blackwell and Jeremy Shane Blackwell both of Franklinton, LA; one daughter, Teresa Minark of Franklinton, La; and three grandchildren, Thomas MInark, Titus Minark, and Katena Miller all of Franklinton, LA.  He is also survived by three sisters, Emma Lee Hemphill Alford, Jan Elaine Williams, and Daisy Amire Blackwell all of Bogalusa, LA; two brothers, Shelton James Blackwell, Jr. of Bogalusa, LA and Iddo Larue Blackwell of Angola, LA; and also, numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Shelton James Blackwell, Sr. and Hattie Lee Creel Blackwell and a daughter, Christy May Blackwell.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
