Jason Allen Boone, a resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at the age of 42.  Jason graduated from Bogalusa High School in 2000.  He then enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Puyallap, WA.  Jason was a fun-loving guy who loved listening to music, playing on his Xbox and spending time with his friends and family.

Jason is survived by his mother and bonus dad, Lisa "Sissy" Kuhn-Helton (Allen); stepmother, Gwen Boone-Powe (Kenny); grandfather, Jack Boone; sisters, Amanda Boone Freeman (Chad) and Callie Helton; and his brothers, Donovan Boone (Jessica), Dustin Boone (Ashley), Jesse Helton, and Chad Helton (Richelle). He is also survived by a special lifelong friend, Kamie Travis and her son, Kameron; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Boone; grandparents, Richard and Margie Kuhn and Cecily Boone; and a niece, Savannah Boone.

Jason's family request in lieu of flowers that donations be made to cover his final expenses.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service at 2:00 P.M.  Interment to follow at Isabel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Hunter Childers, Dale Kuhn, Scott Mitchell, Kenny Powe, Chad Freeman, and Robert Passman.
