James O'Neil "Push" Kennedy

January 21, 1953 – October 25, 2025

James was born January 21, 1953. He passed away on October 25, 2025, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA at the age of 72.

James was a well-loved father, son-in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle, family member, and friend to many. To know him was to love him. James spent many years working for the Merchant Marines, where he did a lot of different jobs, and traveled all over the world. He also spent some time in the Army National Guard.

He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Laikin and Randy Smith of Bogalusa, LA; grandson, Bentley Smith of Bogalusa, LA; granddaughters, Brittany and Reagan Smith;  brother, John Benjamin Kennedy of Bogalusa, LA; nephew and niece in law, Russell and Tiffany Kennedy of Bogalusa, LA; great nieces, Kailey and Bline Polk; great nephew, Ruston Kennedy; sister-in-law, Kathy Kennedy of Bogalusa, LA. He is also survived by numerous other relatives, extended family, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.Y. Kennedy; mother, Lolita Kennedy; brother, Bobby Joe Kennedy.

Graveside services will be held at Seal's Cemetery in the Stateline Community on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. officiating will be Bro. Russell Kennedy.
