Mr. James Roy Owens, age 75, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022, at his residence in Bogalusa, LA.

Mr. James is survived by his children, Cathy Lopez of Bogalusa, LA; Byron (Elizabeth) Owens of Bogalusa, LA; and Justin Owens of Henleyfield, MS; 10 grandchildren, Hannah Lopez, Jonah Lopez, Sheridan Lopez, Austin (Skylar) Owens, Luke (Caitlin) Owens, Will (Katelyn) Owens, Isabelle Owens, MaKenzie Owens, Malorie Owens, Mia Owens; and 5 great grandchildren, Everleigh Owens, Sebastian "Bash" Owens, Rafe Owens, Willow Silva, and Waylon Owens.  Mr. James was also survived by his brother, Ronald (Jackie) Owens of Varnado, LA; and two sisters, Rhonda (Donnie) Riecke of Laguna Niguel, CA and Vickie Owens of Franklinton, LA.

Mr. James was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Ann Owens; his mother, Ida Mae Owens; and his father, Roy Owens.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and again on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until time for the services at 2:00 P.M. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home with Rev. Caleb Martin officiating.   Masonic services will be held by the Pine Masonic Lodge at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, March 20, 2022.  Interment to follow at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with full Military Rites being conducted by Magic City American Legion Post #24.
