Mr. James William "JW" Brumfield, age 80, was born in Bogalusa, LA on October 29, 1944, passed away on September 17, 2025, at his residence in Angie, LA.

JW was an active member of Angie Baptist Church and retired from CN Railroad after 35 years.

Mr. Brumfield was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years; Blenna Ann Brumfield; a son Donahue Brumfield; parents Zeno and Hettie Freeman Brumfield; siblings Paul 'Buddy" Brumfield, Chris Brumfield, Bobby Brumfield, Leo Brumfield, Genell Brumfield, Elsie Crain, and a son in law Nick Woodard.

JW is survived by his children Michelle (Troy) Ard, Rachel (Nick) Woodard, daughter-in-law Jeannie Brumfield; a sister Lynn (Dick) Blossman; grandchildren Ariel Seal, Holly Seal, Amber (TJ) Taylor, Angie (Jason) Ard, Cassie Green, Courtney (Troy) Jordan, Ben Brumfield, Tyler (Kenzie) Martin, Kandace (Derrick) Mckenzie, and Troy Ann Ard; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Angie Baptist Church, from 10:00 am until the funeral service time of 12:00 noon with Rev. Barnes and Rev. Mizell officiating, and interment will follow at Bonnie Cemetery.
