Herbert "Wayne" King

August 9, 1949 – July 27, 2025

Herbert Wayne King was born August 9, 1949, in Bogalusa, LA and grew up in the Isabel Community. He went home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at the home of his brother, Donald "Donnie" Ray King where he lived the past 7 years. Wayne was retired from DSI and dabbled a little in hauling cattle.

He is survived by his siblings; Joe (Fran) King, Sharon (Haynes) Wheat, Donald "Donnie" (Donna) King, Dale (Deone) King, and Glen (Pat) King. He was also survived by his nieces, nephews, who he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne Latil; father, Herbert King; brother, Roy King; grandparents, RJ Parker and Lillie Blackwell, and Sylvest and Rachel King.

Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, 216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, LA on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Brian Coplin officiating. Interment will follow in the Isabel Baptist Church Cemetery.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.

Pallbearers are Jared King, Jacob King, Troy King, David Sharp, David Crowson, and Austin Hutson.
