Helen Ivell Miley, age 92, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024. A resident of Pine, LA, she was born on November 1, 1931. She was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church and was a loving mother and grandmother. Ms. Miley enjoyed sewing for her grandchildren, attending church and spending time with her family. She was always active with her yardwork and gardening as well as taking pride in her quilts. She is remembered as saying "my favorite times with my grandchildren was when they could sit on my lap." She was quick witted, sharp as a tack and never lacked a comeback. She also never rejected a challenging game or puzzle.

Those family members who will remember her most are Linda and Ricky Inabnitt of Pine, LA and Charles and Misty Mulford, Pine, LA; 4 grandchildren Angela Stuart, Barrett Mulford, Macy Stogner, and Mary Page Miller; 4 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

Ms. Miley is preceded in death by her husband Jim Miley, grandson Cody Mulford, great-great granddaughter Asia Knight; and her nine siblings.

The service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with the visitation starting at 11:00 am. Rev. Doyle Ball and Rev. Jason Skipper will officiate with the interment to follow at Central Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
