Hazel Dean Jenkins Wilson Gregoire, 92, resident of Central, LA until her recent illness, passed away on May 19, 2023 at her daughter's residence in Angie, LA.  She was born on January 1, 1931 to Preston and Gabe Jenkins in Sun, LA.  She was the oldest member of Terrace Missionary Baptist Church and worked at J.C. Penny in Bogalusa, LA until she retired after roughly 37 years with the company.

She is survived by her children Linda Fuller of Varnado, LA, Sheila (Mike) Nelson of Brewton, AL, Ricky A. Wilson of Central, LA, Darrel Gregoire of Central, LA and Gene (Rhonda) Gregorie of Central, LA her sons-in-law Wesley Fuller of Denham Springs, LA and Tony Munizza of Bogalusa, LA; a daughter-in-law Alison "Missy" Wilson; her grandchildren Patrick (Shawn) Wilson of Sulphur , LA, Kevin Wilson of Baton Rouge, LA, Jeffrey Wilson of Bogalusa, LA, Tommy Wilson of Missouri, John (Amanda) Fuller of Abita Springs, LA, Clay (Quanda) Fuller of Bogalusa, LA, Jason (Vanessa) Moran of Mt. Hermon, LA, Connie (Carter) Stewart of Bogalusa, LA, Michael Baggett of Sulphur, LA, Jenny (Shane) Bennett of Bogalusa, LA, Chad (Rochele) Helton of Bogalusa, LA, Spencer Thomas of Bogalusa, LA, Cindi (Rhett) Thibodeaux of Lafayette, LA, Todd (Terry) Gregoire of Central, LA, Chasity (Blane) Hyatt of Uriah, AL, Danny (Traci) Munizza of Bogalusa, LA, and Drew (Brittah) Robertson of Brewton, AL; her great grandchildren Elizabeth, Hannah, MacKenna, McKinley, Colton, Erin, Jalen, Emma, Matthew, Faith, Marek, Mason, Alyssa, Noah, Cayden, Lilli, Gage, Jacey, Lyric, Wyatt, Laklynn, Hunter, Trevor, Maddie, Scotty, Ava, and Scarlett; great great grandchild Aerius; her bonus daughter Cindy Riggins; as well as other nieces nephews and family members; her caregiver for the last 5 months and someone the family wishes to give a special thanks to, Marie McClendon.

Hazel is preceded in death by her parents Preston and Gabe Jenkins, her siblings Ellis, Hubert, Buddy, Wanzie, Elsie, Oda Lee, and Mae; her children Jimmy Wilson, Joyce Munizza, Debbie Fuller, and Bill Gregoire; and her husband Roger Gregoire and the father of her children Ramsey Wilson.

A service to celebrate Hazel's life will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home with the visitation starting at 10:00 am and remaining open until the funeral service at 1:00 pm in the chapel.  Bro. Jerry Duncan will officiate the service and interment will follow at Hunt Jenkins Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jason Moran, Clay Fuller, Michael Baggett, Jeffrey Wilson, Kevin Wilson and Shane Bennett and one honorary pallbearer Patrick Wilson.
