George "Ronnie" Scott of Angie, Louisiana, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the age of 74. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served in the Navy. Ronnie worked at Dow Chemical for over 25 years until his retirement.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Delores Scott.

George is survived by his daughter, Jody Scott Duffin (Rich) of Chicago, IL; his son Joel Scott (Missy) of Baton Rouge, LA; six grandchildren, Brannon Duffin, Devin Duffin, Lenora Scott, Juliet Scott, Jessica and Lauren; four great grandchildren Greyson, Landon, Lucas and Bella; his sister, Marsha Joyce Scott Walock (Mark) of Livington, his former wife Virginia Jo, of Graysville, TN; two step sons, Chris (Erin) Smith and Greg (Sue) Smith of Graysville, TN; his uncle, Mike Williams (Mary) of Varnado, LA; his aunt, Carolyn Kelly of Varnado, LA; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A service to celebrate Ronnie's life will be held at Dexter Pentecostal Church on Monday, January 16. 2023, at 11:00 am.  Following the service at the church a graveside committal service will be held at Seal Cemetery in Varnado, LA at 2:00 pm. Rev. J.W. Terrell will officiate the service and American Legion Post #24 will perform military graveside rites at the cemetery.
