Frances Marie Brister a native of Slidell, LA and lifelong resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the age of 104.  Marie was a member of Superior Avenue Baptist Church.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Jean Caldwell of GA; four grandchildren, Lisa Smith (Randy Clewis) of GA, Robin Badger of GA, Kim (Jeff) Thomas of Bogalusa, LA, and Kellie Senseney of Abita Springs, LA; and six great grandchildren, Allie (Curtis) Dixon, Sydney Senseney, Mixon Senseney, Robert Smith, Randall (Summer) Harris, and Kyle Odum.  She is also survived by numerous great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Brister; her parents, Margaret and James Haire; one son, Kenneth "Kenny" Mixon; brother, Frank Haire; sisters, Edwina O'Brien and Annie Waldrop; a son in law, Robert Caldwell; and a grandson in law, Jeff Senseney.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Ponemah Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Clay Norwood officiating the service.
