Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Joy Purvis Fortenberry a resident of Sandy Hook, MS passed away Tuesday, April 26,2022, in Carriere, MS at the age of 74.

She is preceded in death by her father Linsey "Pete" Edgar Purvis and her husband Brewster "Ed" Fortenberry. She is survived by her mother, Joy Purvis; her brothers, Robert "Bob" Purvis and Lindsey Edgar Purvis II; her sisters Cathryn Gail Holloway and Martha "Marty" Jan Baker; and also, many nieces and nephews which she loved to her fullest.

A visitation will be held Friday, April 29,2022, from 10:00 a.m. until time for services at 2:00 p.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home with Bro. Zach Smith officiating the services. Interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
