Dorothy Irene Dunegan LeStage-Wion ("Dottie"), 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 2, 2021, at her home in Poplarville, MS, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Wichita, KS, to the late James Paul and Dorothy LouEllen Dunegan, Dottie lived a full and adventurous life. She will be remembered for her fierce love for her family, her honesty, and her willingness to accept others.

Dottie is survived by her husband of 16 years, Melvin Wion; her daughter, Mary Teachout; her son, David (Sheri) Teachout; her stepsons, Paul (Marsha) Thibodeaux and Jason Thibodeaux; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brothers, Edward and Chuck Dunegan, and her sisters, Mary (Gale) Blumenshine, Jane (Bob) Barton, and Judy Leach.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date in her hometown of Wichita, KS.
