Doris Valdez, 67, of Bogalusa, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. She was born on April 4, 1957, in Bogalusa, to the late Joe and Mildred Sadie Crain Jones. Doris was employed with Walmart during her career.

She is survived by her two sons, Chico (Lori) Valdez, Pete Valdez; one brother, Ronnie Joe Jones; two sisters, Pat (Keith) Stringer, Veda (Terry) Thomas; four grandchildren, Chantel Valdez, Caleb Valdez, Isabella Valdez, Kaiden Carpenter; four great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Hollie Starnes.

Doris was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Faye Valdez, and her husband, Denton Earl "Bo" Wascom.

Funeral services for Doris Valdez will be held at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home (216 Alabama Avenue, Bogalusa, Louisiana, 70427) on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 2:30 pm. Burial will follow in Ponemah Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 12:00 pm until services on Saturday at the funeral home.
