Mrs. Dixie Anne Easterling, a native of Durant, MS, a longtime resident of Bogalusa, LA, and a current resident of Carriere, MS, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, in Hattiesburg, MS at the age of 68.  She was a retired mail carrier from the United States Postal Service.

Mrs. Dixie is survived by her husband, Steve Easterling of Carriere, MS; one son, Mark James of Bogalusa, LA; her two grandchildren, Mason James and Madison James both of Slidell, LA; and one sister, Mary Jane Devall of Baton Rouge, LA.  She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Margaret Kealhofer and her two brothers, Mike and Jimbo Kealhofer.

No services will be conducted per her request. Mrs. Dixie's family request that donations be made to loozianabassetrescue.org in her memory.
