Mr. Dewey Raymond Cameron, Jr. a resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the age of 71.  He was a proud enrolled student of Nellie Byers for most of his adult life, he loved playing X-Box, and enjoyed Sunday dinners with his family.

Dewey is survived by one sister, Kathy Hyland of Bogalusa, LA and his nieces and nephews, Charlotte Johnson of Bogalusa, LA, Carol (Eddie) Case of Bogalusa, LA, Maynard (Tamela) Hyland, Jr. of Poplarville, MS, Audra (Darron) Kennedy of Angie, LA, Linda Gayle Cameron Valentine, Dicie Cameron Cole, Susan (Randy) Russell, Nancy (Wendall) Barnes; and his niece in law, Norween Cameron. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.

Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Raymond Cameron, Sr.  and Thelma Wells Cameron; his brother and sister-in-law, James (Susan) Cameron; and a nephew, Richard Cameron.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 12:00 to 1:45 P.M.  with a graveside service being held at Pounds Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.  Rev. Marcus Rosa will officiate the services.
