Mr. David S. Jenkins a resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at the age of 78.    Mr. David served his country in the United States Navy. He loved to fish, travel, doing wood work, and watching football and NASCAR.  He also loved spending time with his family.

Mr. David is survived by his wife Freeda Ruth Mitchell Jenkins; one son James Jenkins; and two daughters Michelle (Darrin) Fonda and Amy (Eric) Jenkins.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Jordan (Cindy) Cotton; Matthew (Katelyn) Cotton; Mallory Jenkins; Maggie Jenkins; Callison McKeegan; Bailey McKeegan; and Kaitlyn McKeegan and also his great grandchildren Liam, Luke, and Hollyn Cotton.

Mr. David was preceded in death by his parents James Wilson and Mary Jenkins and his siblings Melvin Jenkins, Ray Jenkins, Dorothy Rester, and Pauline Carpenter.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. until time for the services at 2:00 P.M. in the Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Mizell officiating the services.  Interment to follow at Pounds Cemetery with Military graveside rites being conducted by Magic City American Legion Post #24.
