Danny Ray Augustine, II was born on November 8, 1978, in Covington, Louisiana and died January 8, 2022, at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans, Louisiana after succumbing to complications from pneumonia. Danny was a bright light in the world. His smile, his sense of humor, and his loving nature will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father Danny Ray Augustine, his grandparents Fred W Bennett, Sr., and Kenneth and Wilma Myers Augustine.

Danny is survived by his mother Ramona Bennett Augustine, his grandmother Lillian Roussell Bennett, his sister Tamara Augustine and her husband Mark Meredith, his nephew Terrell "Drew" Augustine-Meredith, and wife Annsley, his niece Brianna Augustine-Meredith and Levi Porter, his Uncle Freddie, along with his great nephews Judah, Alec and Ezra. Danny also leaves behind a multitude of family members and friends whom he treasured, many caretakers at Touro who took care of him after his brain injury, and his beloved Nikki Magee.

There will be visitation held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa Louisiana on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 5 to 8 P.M., and Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 9 to 11 A.M. His memorial service, celebrated by Father Kyle Sanders of Holy Family Catholic Church of Franklinton, will begin at 11 A.M. followed by interment at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa. Those that loved Danny but wish to social distance are welcome to attend his graveside service only.
