Daniel Ray Phillips, age 89 and a resident of Bogalusa, LA, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 7, 2022, exactly one year after his wife, Wilda Jeanette Hunt Phillips.  He was a lifelong resident of Washington Parish and an active and faithful member of Union Heritage Baptist Church.  He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and a friend to many.

Daniel is survived by his son, John Keith Phillips, daughter-in-law, Donna Lambert Phillips, grandsons Brian Keith Phillips (Wendy) and Blake Allen Phillips (Whitney), great-grands Beckett Phillips and Kallynn Phillips.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, in-laws and other family members.

Daniel was predeceased by his wife, Wilda Jeanette Hunt Phillips, his parents Boyd Phillips and Maudie Thomas Phillips, his siblings: Masel, Willie Marie (Bobbie), Julius, Louise, Ted, Dudley and Doris.

Visitation will be at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2022.  There will be a private internment for immediate family only.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to Union Heritage Baptist Church.
