Carmen E. Mizell, age 74, a resident of Bogalusa, LA passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Carmen was born on November 6, 1948, in Bogalusa, LA to the late Renolda "Pat" and E.E. "Bert" Crawford.  She was the oldest of five siblings.  Carmen was a loving wife, mother, Maw Maw, and Nana and loved her family fiercely.

Mrs. Carmen is survived by her children, Annette Crawford (Darrell) Baham, Kasie Leann Burr (Nicole), and Matthew Jordan (Betsy) Burr; her grandchildren, Dustin (Candace) Crawford, Seager (Brittnee) Knox, Eden (Taylor) Lavigne, Briggs M. Burr, and Bregman M. Burr; and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Crawford, Warren Crawford, Lauren Crawford, Lenny Ray Knox, and Lion James Lavigne.  She is also survived by her siblings, Richard E. (Gail) Crawford, Kathy (Ricky) Crain, Susan (Greg) Crawford, and Joanne (Jimmy) Smith.

Mrs. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Mizell; a son, Ronald "Scott" Crawford; and a granddaughter, Megan Nicole Crawford.

Graveside services will be held at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Bogalusa, LA on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 2:00 P.M.
