Bobbye Jean Varnado Frey, a resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on July 14, 2020 in Hammond, LA at the age of 87. She was born in Bogalusa, LA on January 12, 1933.

Mrs. Bobbye was a faithful member of Superior Avenue Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She volunteered her time to help people at Resthaven Living Center. She also enjoyed the time she spent working at Southern Timber, Superior Avenue Baptist Church, and Crown Zellerbach.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, A.W. Frey, Jr. of Bogalusa, LA; her children, Mike (Nancy) McBeth of Bogalusa, LA and Sheryl Ann McBeth of Covington, LA; her grandchildren, Josh Pepe, Desiree (Lee) Haight, Kristen (Randall) Barber, Scott Calmes, Travis (Autumn) McBeth; and great grandchildren, Rayleigh Haight, Harlan Haight, Lucas McBeth, Aubree McBeth, Norah McBeth, Madelyn Barber, Drake Barber, Davana Barber. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Jo Varnado (Jack) Brooks of Zachary, LA; nieces, Carolyn (Richard) Barnes and Dona (Mark) Everitt; and her nephew, Johnny (Tammy) McBeth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Varnado and Loyce Samantha Smith Varnado and her niece, Connie Warner.
